The Dept. of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at Christian Medical College, Vellore has been designated an ICMR–Collaborating Centre of Excellence by Indian Council of Medical Research, recognizing its leadership in biomedical research, innovation and translational care in endocrinology and metabolic disorders.
RCP Awards 2017
Royal College of Physicians honored CMC Vellore’s Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism with the Medical Education and Training Award under its Excellence in Patient Care Awards 2017, recognizing clinical excellence, leadership, and its comprehensive education and training programs.
BMJ Awards 2015
The department won the Diabetology Team of the Year at the British Medical Journal South Asia Awards, held at The Leela Palace Mumbai in 2015. CMC Endocrinology was recognized at the BMJ Awards 2015 for excellence in clinical care, research, and innovation.
Annual Research Day (CMC) – Research Team of the Year Award
The Department of Endocrinology emerged as overall winner at the 7th Annual Research Day (2016) for securing maximum points, retained the title at the 8th Annual Research Day (2017), and again won the 11th Annual Research Day held in October 2021.
Most Patient Friendly OPD Award by CMC, Vellore
Award ceremonies for the Most Patient Friendly Wards, OPDs and MROs were held in 2013, 2015 and 2017, recognizing excellence across private and general categories based on OP and IP patient feedback for the years 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
